Sarah Graves present on how copyright, intellectual property, fair use, and "rights" organization law impact the MMFA's use of images for promotion and education and by knowing more about the ins and outs, we can be better in our practice and more respectful of artists and other creatives. I'm attaching her presentation and including the link to the flowchart she used in her exercise with us here: https://www.sunsteinlaw.com/copyright-flowchart
Kaci led the group through the gallery portion of the new Kindergarten program and explained more about pre-visits. I've attached her Pre-visit presentation for you to review.

August 13, 2018 Training Recap
Hello everyone!
It was a wonderful first day back! It was an information-packed morning so I hope I remember everything in this recap.
Today, I introduced our new docents and the new docent handbook (attached and Jill is working on adding it to the docent website). Kaci introduced the group to the new ArtWorks tour components (attached). There were many requests about including emails and mailing address to the docent contact sheet. With this in mind, I've created a Google form for you to fill out called Docent "Face Book". The staff recently created one of staff and board members so I thought this might work well for the docents. This "Face Book" is meant to help connect you to other docents and will be located in the Docent Lounge and sent out digitally to all docents.
